In 1994, I heard AZ's verse from Life's A B*tch and instantly felt something special. You know, like most people during that time. AZ was the perfect compliment to NAS on so many levels. Whenever they did songs together it always felt authentic and never forced. They also appeared to have a friendly competition when it came to verses. They each outshined each other several times. I always imagined how great an album by these two MC's would have been in the 90's. I always felt that a NAS and AZ album would have been more focused than The Firm album. By the way, I actually like The Firm album a lot.
The reason why these thoughts race through my mind is because of the dope collaboration albums we've seen since the late 90's. Ghostface and Raekwon basically did it on Ironman and Only Built For Cuban Linx. Redman and Method Man saw success with their albums. Kanye West and Jay-Z had Watch The Throne, though I'm not the biggest fan of the album but it was solid. There are other albums that I'm missing but you get the point. Below are some of the songs they did together and just imagine if this was an album or at minimum, it gives you an idea of what type of tracks they are capable of doing. Wow man...Wow

PS: You could have also done a great job marketing NAS and AZ as they had style and flavor as well. What are your thoughts? Peace T-Hanes
