In Hip Hop, we are all pretty much family. When one of our artist pass away, it's like you lost a cousin or to some degree, a sibling. I mean, we all grow up together in this genre. Today we say goodbye to another one of our old school artist. Jeffery Campbell #EMD, the Brooklyn-born MC formed U.T.F.O. in the early 1980's and was a huge part of the success the group. Their debut album was released in 1985 and Hip Hop was never the same. I remember my brother playing U.T.F.O. records at our Grandparents house growing up. One of my favorite songs during that time was "Ya Cold Wanna Be With Me". Man, thanks for the memories Mr. Campbell. Who can ever forget Roxanne, Roxanne and the Roxanne Wars.... Hip Hop was better because of these dudes...They are truly UNSUNG
Campbell died early this morning after a bout with cancer, he was 54 years old.
